Nick Driscoll drafted to AFL

2025 Bullants VFL debutant selected by Geelong in the rookie draft.

Nicholas Driscoll has become the latest Preston player drafted to the national stage, selected by Geelong with pick 28 in the 2025 AFL rookie draft.

Driscoll made his VFL debut in round 17 but was already no stranger to Cramer Street, performing strongly with the Northern Knights in the Coates Talent League. In addition to the Bullants and the Knights, he has played for the Eltham Football Club.

Speaking prematch, senior coach Rohan Welsh praised Driscoll's ability to put pressure on opponents. Facing a strong finals-bound Frankston side, he recorded eight disposals and two marks.

Driscoll joins Finnbar Maley (North Melbourne/Adelaide), Brandon Ryan (Hawthorn/Brisbane) and Saad El-Hawli (Essendon) as Northern Bullants players drafted to the AFL in recent years.
